Moving to a new home is hard. We’ve all done it at least once. But moving to a country where you don’t speak the language? You’ll probably agree that’s a lot harder. English support (or any foreign language service in general) isn’t easy to find in Tokyo, even at city hall. But don’t worry because The Tokyo Life has you covered!
We’ve looked through the websites of each of Tokyo’s 特別区 (tokubestuku – 23 special wards) to find the phone numbers and schedules of foreign resident support desks, and present them in simple and clean graphics. The English (or other language) support at any city hall in Tokyo listed below can be accessed by phone or in person.
Unfortunately, Chiyoda and Nakano do not offer this service for foreign residents at the moment. However, the Foreign Residents’ Advisory Center in Shinjuku is open to everyone and more than happy to help anyone who needs it. If you live in either Chiyoda or Nakano, please contact the Foreign Residents’ Advisory Center instead.
